Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı, bu proje ile iklim değişikliğiyle mücadele ve sürdürülebilirlik bilincini artırmayı hedefliyor.
Bu doğrultuda hazırlanan tematik takvim, uygulama rehberi ile çevre ve iklim okuryazarlığı öğretmen kılavuzları gibi kaynaklar tüm okullara ulaştırıldı:
Öğrenciler, yıl boyunca fidan dikimi, sıfır atık atölyeleri, geri dönüşüm çalışmaları, enerji ve su tasarrufu eğitimleri, atık sanat sergileri ile doğa şenlikleri gibi çeşitli faaliyetlere katılacak.
Etkinlikler, sınıf içi dersler, saha uygulamaları ve okul dışı gezilerle desteklenerek öğrencilerin doğayla bağını güçlendirecek ve geleceğe yönelik sorumluluk duygusunu geliştirecek.
Bakanlık, projenin yalnızca farkındalık yaratmakla kalmayıp tüm eğitim paydaşlarının aktif katılımıyla sürdürülebilir bir çevre kültürü oluşturacağını vurguladı.
